Get Connect 2019

January 20, 2019

I believe it is safe to say that if you missed Get Konnected: More Than A Dream Seminar, then you missed a phenomenal gathering. Keywords for the night were network, support and discourage. The message of the night was pretty easy to wrap your head around. No matter what life throws at you; keep going! If the same dream that lingers on in your mind when you sleep at night is the same vision that plays out in your head from the moment you wake-up, then it’s there for a reason. So many astounding women graced the stage on this magnificent night. There is no way anyone left the event without absorbing an ample amount of knowledge.

Creator of this seminar Britinii Bouie of Get Connected Biz Solutions, pulled out all the stops. Bouie (@bossibebe) put together a line up like none we have seen in quite some time. Although the crowd showed much diversity, the common theme was #BlackGirlMagic, and I was in awe! Bouie shared a bit of her story with the attendees. From being homeless to selling shoes out of her car, Bouie is no stranger to hard work or struggle. She made it clear that her mission for 2019 was to work on herself and be as much of a help to others as she could possibly be. She continuously referred to herself as an open book!

So many other ladies like Attorney Sherria Williams, Esq., Dr. Jessica Hudson-Bozeman, and iHeartRadio personality Stichiz were just some of the highlight speakers of the night. Their energy was just so uplifting and so vibrant. These ladies along with many other women, talked about the steps to take in order to get your business up and running. Perhaps you’ve already launched your company, but how do you make sure you’ve covered the necessary steps to make sure your investment into yourself is protected? There was so much first-hand knowledge in one room and when it was time for questions the audience did not hold back.

Even after all of the exceptional speakers took the stage, the crowd received an overflow of encouraging words and insight into the personal experiences of successful serial entrepreneurs Raynell "Supa Cent" Steward (@supa_cent) and Jesseca Dupart(@darealbbjudy). These two women are so humble and down to earth, that if the crowd didn’t love them before, they definitely fell in love with them by the end of the night!

I have to say, that I can’t wait to attend the next event Britinii organizes. I know that if it is anything like this past event, I am in for a powerful evening…
