I.M. is “cool kids” who grew up in Birmingham, AL. I.M. means Intelligent Movement. This name came from them being in class listening to the teacher mentioning that the hip-hop culture was developed on an “intelligent movement.” The brand is now abbreviated as I.M. so they can grow into the brand when they develop and become young men. I.M. wants to bring their culture to their audience. They want you to come into their world through their music to visualize their joy and pain. The members of I.M. (from left to right) Bossman Zay, Caution (Producer and Artist), and Rammbo.
Once they started getting a buzz, we started going to high schools like Fairfield High School and Clay Chalkville High School Talent Shows, Huffman Academy Fun Days, and probate shows. Then it really got serious when they were invited to open up for Mako Girls 1stAnnual Glow Party in Alabama, the 95.7 JAMZ Car and Bike Show and the 2017 Magic City Classic on the 95.7 JAMZ stage. Things got really heated with the hour long interview with on-air personality Young Dil (Assistant Program Director) on 95.7 JAMZ. Now they are getting spins sporadically on the Alabama Now segment (local music) on 95.7JAMZ (95.7 JAMZ is the number #2 radio station overall in the Birmingham Market, but #1 overall in the 18-34 demo) and HOT 105.7 in Montgomery (HOT 105.7 in Montgomery is the number #1 radio station overall in the Montgomery, AL Market).
I.M. is constantly in the studios creating their first classic project with potential singles “Better than the Rest” (over 21K hits on Sound Cloud and over 7.1K video views on KenXL’s: aKENXLfilm YouTube subscription). Now, on ITunes and other media outlets and has spins on 95.7JAMZ in Birmingham and HOT 105.7 in Montgomery) and “Wurry About.” I.M. has new singles to follow called “Run Dem Bandz” and “NASCAR.” Follow them on Instagram @theofficialim and the link to video “Better than the Rest” will take you to their I.M. TV YouTube page to view it. We are definitely at our beginning stages with these young men as we are only approximately 1½ years doing everything from performing on stage to social media.
